Plot :

At seventeen, Veronica "Ronnie" Miller (Miley Cyrus) remains as rebellious as she was the day after her parents' ugly divorce and father's subsequent relocation to Georgia three years ago. Once a classical piano child prodigy under the tutelage of her father, Steve Miller (Greg Kinnear), Ronnie now rejects the instrument and has not spoken to her father since he left. While Juilliard School has been interested in her since she was young, Ronnie refuses to attend.

Now, Steve is given the chance to reconnect with his estranged daughter when her mother, Kim (Kelly Preston) sends the rebellious teen and her younger brother, Jonah (Bobby Coleman), to spend the summer with him. Steve, a former Juilliard School professor and concert pianist, now lives a quiet life in Tybee Island, the small Georgia beach town where he grew up, working on a stained glass window for the local church to replace the one the church lost in a fire.

Upon arrival, Ronnie is miserable, hostile and defensive toward all those around her, including Will Blakelee (Liam Hemsworth) – until, after both she and Will become involved in protecting a Loggerhead Sea Turtle nest, she discovers he is deeper than she believed. As Ronnie falls in love with Will, she also manages to bond with her father Steve through the one thing they have in common- music. Ronnie, Will and Jonah find out that Steve's cancer has spread to his lungs and only has a short while to live.

Instead of going back home with her mother and Jonah, Ronnie decides to stay with Steve until the end and decides to go to Juilliard after all. Ronnie doesn't care that he's getting weaker everyday, she just helps make everyday special for him and while she's with him she finds the letters that he meant to mail to her. Ronnie's dad was writing a song entitled 'For Ronnie', but his hands were too weak to continue. Instead of watching her dad struggle, Ronnie finishes the song for him. Steve sits and listens to Ronnie Finish the song and when it is finished Ronnie look out on him and realises he has died.

Ronnie then plays The song at Steve's funeral who is attended by Will who she had broken up with previously. After the funeral Ronnie clears Steve's house and takes his Piano along with other belongings with her on her way back home.

really want to watch this movie, tapi kayaknya gak bakal tayang di indonesia. di trailer nya di tv sih cuman ada di singapur sama filipin doang.. booo!! di singapur tayangnya tanggal 12 mei kalo gak salah.. biarkanlah, beli dvdnya aja ya
